General Restorative Dentistry

The goal of general restorative dentistry is to keep your mouth and teeth healthy. By regularly visiting the practice you can prevent problems before they ever get a chance to happen.

The two most common causes of people losing teeth are gum disease and decay and we can help to prevent both.

We recommend visiting us regularly to have a dental health check carried out and receive a thorough cleaning of your teeth.  We will then give you practical advice to ensure you are cleaning your teeth correctly.

Our hygienist Julia also does a lot more during your appointment than simply ‘polising’ your teeth. She removes the clear sticky plaque which contains bacteria that thrives on the sugars in your food. She also look for traces of decay and can spot early signs of mouth cancer when the disease may be highly treatable. Your hygienist really is the proof of the old adage, prevention is better than cure!
